The Product (Development) Manager is responsible for implementing the brand marketing action plan in line with the company’s overall strategy, in order to meet growth objectives in terms of turnover, profitability and market share in the short and medium term.
•Support the Group strategy and develop specific roadmaps for products, building in complete end to end customer experiences that deliver on agreed product metrics
•Continually study the market and developments; detect and define the business needs and new market and product opportunities
•Conducting trend studies beyond the scope of our industry alone (consumption habits, trends and codes of activity for our target consumers)
•Collect information from the sales department, R&D department, in order to identify the market characteristics
•Propose new solution ideas
•Anticipating and analysing customer expectations in conjunction with the Sales and R&D departments and providing a solution to the requirement
•Know how to create great experiences, and know which experiences are popular with our consumers and why
•As a product moves from discovery to definition, work with the engineering teams to create an appropriate delivery strategy.
•Close collaboration with Engineering. Sales and R&D teams and 3rd parties to launch new products in line with roadmaps
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
•Previous experience as a product manager, with a successful launch of a new product
•Effective at solving difficult problems, by understanding the problem in-depth, and then using creativity to find effective solutions.
•Enthusiasm for delivering change through people and technology
•Possess knowledge and understanding of an engineering/manufacturing business and the technology landscape, and how to maximise the value that products can and will add
•Knowledge of commercial distribution channels
•Knowledge of product marketing and research
•Strong technical culture of the product/solution
•Excellent communicator, communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels
