JOB DETAILS             
Our Offshore Environmental Inspectorate ensures compliance with the environmental regulatory regime for the UK Continental Shelf in relation to offshore oil and gas exploration, production, decommissioning, gas unloading and storage, and carbon storage. In this diverse and dynamic role, you will provide leadership to a team of Offshore Environmental Inspectors working across many aspects of environmental legislation and pollution prevention.

About the role

•With direct line management responsibility for four specialist Inspectors, you will prioritise, develop and implement work plans and manage resources.
•As well as planning and carrying out your own offshore inspections and investigations, you will review the findings of other Environmental Inspectors to ensure consistency, proportionality and transparency.
•You will play an active role in reviewing regulatory processes and developing policy and procedures.
•Expect to provide expert advice for responses on oil and gas environmental issues to government, industry bodies and the general public.
•There is also the opportunity to participate in industry work groups and to foster connections with other non-governmental organisations.
