Key Responsibilities include
- •Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure the organisation meets all necessary CSR and ethical requirements
- •Identify areas of ethical risk within our supply chain and develop responses/corrective action plans which are aligned to business strategy.
- •Champion Ethical issues through liaison and monitoring within all areas of the company.
- •Design and manage projects designed to improve key aspects of CSR performance.
- •Lead M&Co’s dialogue on ethical issues with external stakeholder groups, e.g. Suppliers and NGOs.
- •Setting ethical compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
- •Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability.
- •Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
- •Identifying relevant related training needs and delivering training.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level
- A min of 3-5 year’s experience in a similar role or at a more junior level within a retail Ethical / CSR compliance team and looking to step up
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of CSR and Ethical compliance and best practice
- Good understanding of the environmental, social and ethical issues which facing major fashion retailers today.
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience liaising with a range of different internal and external stakeholders, including NGOs
- Flexibility and the ability to learn fast is essential
