Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the collection, interpretation, presentation and distribution of energy performance data
  • Plan investment and prioritise investment opportunities, apply engineering principles to ensure objectives are met
  • Managing databases and integrating systems, delivering new and innovative ways of gathering, using and presenting data as useful information to the College community.
  • Use data and engineering principles to minimise risk and maximise success and the impact of activities and investment
  • Review and contribute to the continual improvement of the College’s Technical Policies
  • Be the reference and first point of contact for energy conservation activities
  • The role is responsible for keeping the College energy data systems up-to-date and accurate; Utilising data in new and innovative ways to communicate and identify opportunities for improvement; Requesting funding for investment and implement energy saving opportunities.
  • Analysis of the performance of the new Imperial College White City campus

Essential requirements
  • Degree qualified in relevant subject /relevant formal training, plus experience in a similar or related role(s)
  • Knowledge and understanding of building service and design
  • Experience with large complex databases and means of presenting information
  • Proven organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise diverse workload
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Detailed operational knowledge and expertise in the field of energy management and building services and design
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of databases
  • Using database software to manipulate and represent data in an informative manner
  • Manage own time and set targets and objectives in line with the College strategy
  • High level of understanding of engineering and technical principles related to energy efficiency in buildings
  • Highly competent with MS Office in particular Excel
  • Database management
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, managing and prioritising own time effectively
  • Able to work effectively within a complex organisation
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others
