Responsibilities
- Primarily to operate, inspect and maintain the asphalt plant / quarry plant in order to produce materials which comply with the company quality specifications
- To plan the next day's production according to customer requirements and plant capabilities
- Start-up & shut-down routines and maximising throughput within the capacity of the plant.
- Inspection & monitoring of plant in accordance with the site regime.
- Maintenance and repair of the plant within their scope and competence & keep accurate records in accordance with management requirements.
- Re-fuelling of machines – both static and mobile.
- Operation of mobile plant – FEL for loading and plant feed & dumper for mineral movement – as required by site management.
- To be able to operate machines in a safe and proper manner.
- To undertake maintenance works to static and mobile plant as required by manufacturer and Hanson.
- To undertake these duties at other Hanson sites in the area within reasonable travelling distance where transport or travelling allowance may be provided if the distance exceeds the normal journey.
- To be able to operate an asphalt plant as required.
- To be able to operate, maintain and repair static and mobile plant
- To adhere to the company health, safety, environmental & quality systems
- To adhere to the Quarry Regulations 1999.
- Computer literate and working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- Good general education required and large amount of health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations are required to be understood and carried out.
- Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant.
