• Your role will involve carrying out all routine cell culturing as well as performing protein purification. 
  • You will prepare samples for purification and carry out column chromatography.
  • As the Biochemistry Research Assistant you will perform protein purification using a range of methods and further perform analytical techniques on biochemistry preparations such as qPCR, ELISA, AKTA and SDS-PAGE. 
  • Assisting in the smooth running of the Biochemistry team, ensuring validity and reliability of data at all times will be included in your role. Attending high-priority meetings and assisting running the laboratory is important in your role.
  • Relevant Masters in a Biological Sciences related discipline such as Molecular Biology or Biological Sciences. 
  • Proven industry experience with mammalian cell culturing, biochemistry and molecular biology techniques is necessary. 
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with protein purification as well as HPLC protein purification would be highly beneficial to your application.
