Responsibilities
 
•This is a multi-product coverage role covering banks and non-bank financial institutions.
•Work closely with the Head of Banks, UK, Ireland & Netherlands and team on the development and execution of client relationship plans by identifying key business opportunities through proactive research, financial information, and regular dialogue with clients.
•Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, macroeconomic and political circumstances that could affect clients in the assigned portfolio, pricing and Wells Fargo’s business.
•Take charge of client portfolio, leading calling efforts and ensuring accurate recording of call reports, and timely follow up of key action items. Ensure appropriate briefing memos, proposals and call preparation packs are created and circulated to stakeholders as appropriate.
•Understand and anticipate clients’ customer service needs; proactively identify solutions.
•Demonstrate strong knowledge of the full range of products such as capital markets, transaction banking, derivatives and asset management and be able to understand the applicability of these products and solutions to global FI clients in the portfolio.
•As required, travel on client calls with product partners and other FIG team members.
•Work closely with other relationship managers, credit underwriting team, portfolio management unit and product partners to jointly review credit limits required to support business development as part of global annual credit reviews and ad-hoc credit requests.
•Work closely with Regional Risk Underwriting group and Global RM teams to meet ongoing due diligence requirements including assessing of the global compliance risks (including participating in client discussions), and documenting those in a timely manner.
 
Required Skills/Experience
 
•Ideally degree educated with at least a UK bachelors 2.1 classification or equivalent in business/international relationships/economics/finance or a related field.
•Financial Institutions sector knowledge and experience, particularly in relation to the UK.
•Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
•Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
•Demonstrated ability and dedication to provide high quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
•Knowledge of bank counterparty credit analysis.
